We're building the future of brand intelligence

The web changed. Most brand monitoring did not.

People no longer discover brands only through Google or a company's own social feed. They ask ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and Perplexity for recommendations. They read Reddit threads, niche forums, review sites, and news coverage before they decide who to trust. Those conversations shape reputations every day, and most monitoring tools never see them.

Mentient was built to close that gap.

The blind spot in brand monitoring

Most brand monitoring tools were designed for an older internet. They watch social networks and tagged mentions, and they treat everything else as noise. That leaves a blind spot in exactly the place where modern buying decisions get made: inside communities, forums, review sites, and AI-generated answers.

We kept running into that blind spot ourselves. So we built the tool we wanted.

Our mission

Our mission is simple. Help every business understand how its brand is talked about across the modern web.

When someone recommends you on Reddit, weighs you against a competitor in a forum, names your product in an article, or an AI assistant starts surfacing your brand in its answers, you should know. You should not have to spend your morning searching the internet to find out.

Mentient brings those conversations together in one place.

Why we started Mentient

Like a lot of founders and marketers, we spent too many hours checking Reddit, Google, news sites, and AI tools to see what people were saying about our brands.

Google Alerts missed the threads that mattered. Social listening tools stayed inside the traditional networks. And AI search, already changing how customers find products, had almost no tooling to show a business how it appeared there.

Brand intelligence needed to catch up to how people actually discover things now. So we built Mentient to monitor the channels that matter today, alongside the ones that mattered yesterday.

What we do

Mentient surfaces the conversations that turn into opportunities or problems, and it does so before they get away from you. In one dashboard, you can:

Monitor brand mentions across Reddit, news sites, forums, blogs, and the wider web

Track competitors and compare how visible each brand is

Read sentiment scored by AI on every mention

Spot customer questions, feedback, and buying intent as they surface

Get intelligent alerts instead of running the same searches by hand

See how your brand shows up across AI search

Rather than drowning you in thousands of noisy mentions, Mentient points you to the ones worth acting on.

Our vision

We believe the future of search is conversational. As AI assistants become a primary way people find products, services, and brands, businesses need a clear view of how they are represented across the whole internet.

Our vision is to be the platform that helps any organization understand, monitor, and improve its presence everywhere discovery happens, from Reddit discussions and news coverage to AI-generated answers and whatever channel comes next.

Our team

The people behind Mentient

We are operators, engineers, and marketers who spent years tracking brand conversations across the web by hand. It got old. So we built the tool we wanted, and this is the team behind it.

H. S. Agrawal, Founder & Chief Executive Officer at Mentient

H. S. Agrawal

Founder & Chief Executive Officer

H. S. has spent three decades building and scaling companies. That experience shapes how he runs Mentient. He sets the direction, and he keeps coming back to one question in every meeting: does this actually help a customer understand their brand better? When the market shifts, the team looks to him for the long view.

Pooja, Co-Founder & Chief Technology Officer at Mentient

Pooja

Co-Founder & Chief Technology Officer

Pooja runs the engineering and data science behind Mentient. Her whole career has been about turning messy, large-scale data into something you can act on. She owns the AI models that read sentiment and pull the mentions worth your time out of the noise. Accuracy matters to her. So does speed, and she refuses to trade one for the other.

Bhavya, VP of Engineering at Mentient

Bhavya

VP of Engineering

Bhavya has led engineering teams for years, through every stage of scale. At Mentient he owns the infrastructure that watches Reddit, news, forums, and the rest of the web in near real time. Millions of records move through it a day. His job is to keep all of that fast and dependable while the coverage keeps growing.

Rahul, Head of AI & Data Science at Mentient

Rahul

Head of AI & Data Science

Rahul has worked in machine learning and natural language processing for years. He builds the models that score sentiment on every mention and track how brands turn up across AI search. Reading a mention is easy. Understanding what someone actually meant by it is the hard part, and that is the problem he works on.

Raul, VP of Product at Mentient

Raul

VP of Product

Raul has shipped B2B software for more than ten years. He has a knack for taking a tangled problem and turning it into a screen that just makes sense. At Mentient he owns the product experience. Every feature he greenlights traces back to a real problem a customer described out loud, never a guess on a roadmap.

Astha, VP of Customer Success at Mentient

Astha

VP of Customer Success

Astha spends her days making sure teams get real value from the tools they adopt. She leads customer success at Mentient, and she owns the stretch between a new signup and their first real insight. Customers stay because of her team. Inside the company, she is the one who argues hardest on their behalf.

Himanshu, Head of Growth at Mentient

Himanshu

Head of Growth

Himanshu lives in the same channels Mentient watches. He has grown B2B brands through content and community and search, and he has seen a single Reddit thread swing a buying decision more than once. He runs growth and marketing here. The insight the product surfaces for customers is the same insight he uses to decide how Mentient itself shows up online.
